What factors have the most significant impact on IT project success
Dear IPMA Professional,
We are writing to request your assistance with the collection of data in a research project focused on IT success currently underway. Dr. Starkweather and I are seeking to sample IPMA member opinions on what factors have the most significant impact on IT project success. As members of asapm, we approached Stacy Goff, VP of Marketing for IPMA and President of asapm, for assistance in reaching asapm members across the United States to participate in our study. He graciously agreed to help and published our survey link in the asapm February newsletter. As we mentioned that we would be interested in surveying IT project managers worldwide on this topic, he encouraged us to contact each of the IPMA member organizations in this effort, to request similar assistance.
The project itself summarizes 25 years of research in the identification of IT project factors that contribute most to project success and attempts to take a snapshot of which of those factors, or which new factors, are most important to successful IT projects today. The survey is substantial, as 25 years worth of factors are included, and should take approximately 20 – 30 minutes to complete. We would very much appreciate any assistance that you could afford us, in providing our survey link to your members.
